Throughout Romeo and Juliet, Lady Capulet is seen as Lady of the house. Her job is to run the household and be there for her husband when he needs her. She is most worried about getting her daughter Juliet married off to the right person. Even though she is concerned about that she still isn't much of a mother to Juliet, Nurse is the one who really takes care of Juliet. At times that may seem cold and unfeeling but Lady Capulet was probably just trying to do was right according to society. |
